We have enjoyed a number of special activities, as school winds down. Students partnered with 3rd - 5th graders at Agnor Hurt via Skype, and worked collaboratively to build a Minecraft bridge to one another! Thanks to Ms. Passman, Ms. Shand, Mr. Thornton, and the ACPS tech team for making this amazing event happen! A labrador retriever joined 5th grade another day -- -- then zonked out at home. * * * We traveled to Richmond: first to Tredegar Iron Works and the American Civil War Center, followed by the Science Museum of Virginia (with hands-on experiments in force, motion, and energy). A big thank you to the parent volunteers who chaperoned and made this trip possible, as well as to the Stony Point PTO for generously contributing funding towards the trip! |
