landforms and water features of our state.
Students used sand trays, tin foil, and water to make landforms and water features of our state. I put vocabulary words (such as "bay") up on the activboard, and students built the corresponding water or land feature. A big thank you to the helpful parent volunteer who assisted and cleaned sand trays afterwards (and helped when students (accidentally?) created a tsunami).
